Compared with traditional technology, foamed asphalt plays a stronger role in preventing pavement cracking. However, because these two technologies cannot be constructed in rainy days, the construction period is relatively long. The overhaul of the West Third Ring Road can be completed before the National Day. In addition to the South Third Ring Road, the West Third Ring Road is also a seriously damaged section. According to reports, the West Third Ring Road was built in 2003. Due to the large traffic volume of vehicles, especially heavy vehicles, and the long service life, the pavement base layer was damaged to varying degrees, resulting in network cracking and sinking and potholes in asphalt mat. The relevant person in charge of Fuzhou Municipal Engineering Management Office said that they planned to transform the pavement. The project started from Hongwan Road, and finally the Bay Bridge, with a total length of 8.018 kilometers and a width of 65 meters. The person in charge said that after the overhaul is carried out on-site cold recycling treatment for the main pavement base, the asphalt is covered, and the pavement on the auxiliary Road is improved accordingly. The construction units are Kaidi Construction Engineering Co., Ltd. (first bid) and Fujian Nan’an first Construction Co., Ltd. (second bid). It is expected to enter the site recently. The construction period is 5 months and it is planned to be completed before the National Day.
