On March 31, Fuzhou airport port detected a norovirus infection case among the returning tourists from Thailand.
It is understood that the passenger flew to Fuzhou from Bangkok on flight MF8910 on March 28 and voluntarily declared diarrhea and vomiting to the inspection and quarantine staff of Fuzhou airport. After medical examination and laboratory sampling tests, the passenger was diagnosed with norovirus infection.
According to reports, norovirus infectious diarrhea is an acute intestinal infectious disease caused by norovirus, which has the characteristics of acute onset, fast transmission speed, wide coverage, etc, it is the main cause of non-bacterial diarrhea outbreak. Noroviruses are mainly transmitted by intestinal tract and can be transmitted through polluted water sources, food, articles, air, etc., which is easy to break out collectively. The key to prevent this disease is that the public should develop good personal hygiene habits, pay attention to food hygiene and drinking water hygiene, that is, wash hands frequently, do not drink raw water, do not eat raw or half-raw food, especially do not eat raw shellfish and other aquatic products.

If returnees have symptoms such as sudden nausea, vomiting, fever, abdominal pain and diarrhea when entering the country, they should take the initiative to declare to the inspection and quarantine institution in order to get timely diagnosis and treatment.
