“Fortunately, that piece of glass was stopped by the eaves of Building 5, otherwise the whole piece would be disastrous.” Mr. Lin, the merchant, said that the child in the woman’s arms should not be injured when wearing a hat. The woman had bleeding in her head and was sent to the hospital. The police of Yuefeng police station also arrived at the scene for investigation.
Miss Chen, a citizen, said that she looked at the house in Building 5 yesterday. “If I came out a few minutes earlier, I might be the one who won the trick.” She said.
Some people also said at the scene that the woman was injured by glass slag splashed on the ground, because no witnesses could be found and could not be confirmed.
The reporter learned that the floor where the glass was dropped was the 20th floor of Building 5. The staff of a company on this floor told the reporter that due to the glass falling in Taihe square before, the property office was repairing the glass of the whole building in the past two days, the reason for yesterday’s fall may be related to improper operation of the staff.
The reporter learned from the East Second Ring branch of the Second People’s Hospital of Fujian province that the injured woman had left after dressing her head. Yesterday, the reporter called a facilities supervisor of Taihe New World Commercial Property Management Co., Ltd. to try to find out whether the glass fell due to improper property operation, and the other party did not give a specific response.
