At about 01:30 P.M. yesterday, a sudden power failure occurred in Area B of Rongqiao Jinjiang, Gulou district, Fuzhou city, causing six elevators in buildings 1, 2 and 4 in the area to “strike”, causing four residents to be trapped. After receiving the police, a fire truck and six fire officers and soldiers from Shangpu fire squadron in Taijiang district rushed to the scene to carry out rescue.
According to the on-site investigation, the elevators where the trapped personnel are located are respectively on the 6th floor of Building 1, the 11th floor of Building 2 and the 17th floor of Building 4. Due to the limited manpower, the fire officers and soldiers can only work with the community security, and use key to elevator to rescue the trapped residents one by one.
In order to rescue the trapped residents as soon as possible, the fire officers and soldiers rushed to a building as fast as possible after handling an elevator. More than 20 minutes later, the fire officers and soldiers successfully transferred 4 trapped residents. According to the fire commander, when the rescue was carried out, the trapped residents were obviously frightened and calmed down only under the comfort of firefighters. After examination, the trapped residents were not seriously affected. At present, the cause of power failure in the community is under investigation. (Reporter Liu Xing correspondent Huang lvrong)
