On April 14, minnan.com, since April 9, bird friends have all observed the figure of Chinese crested terns in the Minjiang estuary wetland nature reserve, and they have come here to seek friends, feed and breed their offspring. But what worries people is that this kind of critically endangered with less than 100 in the world has encountered the dilemma of food snatching wild duck.

Lao ou, the head of the bird investigation team of the provincial bird watching Association, introduced that he boarded the fish beach at more than 10 o’clock on April 10 and reached more than 12 o’clock in the rainstorm. Just after the tide receded, a hybrid Chinese crested terns appeared in a group of large crested terns. After a while, two Chinese crested terns flew. The male birds still danced around the female birds, just like dancing “Latin dance”, it is very interesting and romantic.
“There are too many ducks for farmers.” Lao Ou said that after the Minjiang estuary wetland was upgraded to a national nature reserve two years ago, there were more and more ducks. “There were 900 last year and 1,200 this year. The competition for migratory birds is too strong. Now there are fewer snipe classes.” Lao ou told the reporter that on the 10th, the two Chinese crested terns stayed on the wetland for more than a minute and flew away.
It is reported that the fish beach covers an area of only 3,000 mu. Besides ducks, farmers have raised more than 30 hens there. In addition, because this is an open protected area, there is no isolation facilities such as purse net and access control. For a long time, all kinds of people have entered this core area with different purposes at will, some people often stay less than 50 meters away from waterbirds, which greatly exceeds the safe distance, which also makes bird lovers very worried.
